Kambing Hitam awards: From Rafil
These current events have been a real eye opener. Most of our perceptions
have changed towards the media.
The Pulitzer Prize acknowledges excellence in journalism. The Kambing Hitam
Award (Black Goat), inspired by the "Where's the Goat?" questions by NST,
acknowledges horrific journalism and shall consist of the following
catagories:
a) Kambing Hitam - Spinal Columnist Award. Courageous effort in writing a
report after undergoing a full lobotomy, functioning only on one's brain
stem and spinal column.
b) Kambing Hitam - Text Rambang Award. Highest percent of misquotes/fiction
in a report.
c) Kambing Hitam - Jilat Sayang, Jilat Award. Kiss assesest report.
d) Kambing Hitam - Mutton Vindaloo, Extra Chili. Most extreme
sensationalism.
e) Kambing Hitam - Lembu Award. Totally missed the point.
We shall hold award ceremonies and present the winners (if they decide to
turn up) with a papier mache black goat, a packet of Maggie Mee (without the
flavor satchet) and a signed certificate.
